Unity
(formerly Wallace Memorial) Food Pantry
Unity (formerly Wallace Memorial) Food Pantry Needs
Volunteers to help make large pickups of food from the
Food Bank on the first Tuesday of each month. These
volunteers will meet in the church parking lot at 7:15
a.m., and take the church van to Duquesne, where they
will load the van with food for the Unity Food Pantry.
Once back at the church, the volunteers will help to
unload the van and take the food down to the pantry.
Total commitment will be about three hours each time.
Volunteers should be healthy and able to lift up to 50
pounds. Food received from the Food Bank makes up over
75% of the food we distribute to clients, so these
pickups are an essential part of us being able to
provide ample nutritious food for our ever-growing
client base. If you can help out with one or more
first-Tuesday pickups, please contact Sally Petro at sarpetro@msn.com or
412-531-2868.
