The Society for Education Environmental Development (S.E.E.D.) helps maintain and preserve the Green Tree Nature Center, 18 unspoiled acres of natural preserve, in the middle of suburban Green Tree. The Nature Center has walking paths for visitors to enjoy a vast array of flora and fauna, including almost every type of tree native to Pennsylvania.

Contact S.E.E.D. through the Green Tree Administrative Office (412-921-1110). Come to one of S.E.E.D.'s meetings (the third Thursday of every other month at 7:00 p.m. at in the Conference Room in the Green Tree Municipal Center, except for December) to learn more about this ecologically-minded group who helps preserve and maintain the Green Tree Nature Center. If your group or organization would like a guided tour through the Green Tree Nature Center, please contact S.E.E.D. through the Borough Office (listed above).
