Green Tree Library's
Summer Reading Program
"Catch the Reading Bug"

Registration takes place June 9-14 at the Library

Discover the amazing world of insects with our "Catch the Reading Bug" Summer Reading Program. Kids from birth through fifth grade are invited to sign up for these fun-filled weeks of story hours, bug programs, parties, movie screenings, games, prizes and more. Swarm over to the Green Tree Public Library during the week of June 9-14 to register. A volunteer will be on hand to register you and explain the way the program works. Register for weekly Summer Reading library events online this year! Learn more about this technology by stopping by the library June 9-14.

The most important part of Summer Reading, of course, is the books. Everyone who signs up for the program will be given a reading goal and a log to keep track of books read. During the week of July 28-August 2, those who have met their reading goals should hand over their completed reading logs to a staff member at the library's front desk. Kids will then be given tickets to enter into the prize raffle. Local businesses, sports teams and the Allegheny County Library Association have been generous in filling up the library's display cases with awesome goodies.

As another reward, children who complete the Summer Reading Program will be invited to Wilson Park Pool for an evening of pizza, prizes and aquatic merriment, at a date and time to be announced.
