Benefits Operation Shoebox

The Greentree Athletic Association is sponsoring its annual Co-Ed Adult Softball Game at Hemlock Field at 9:30 a.m. Cost is $120 per team - 12 players max per team. Three team members must be women with two women per team playing on the field at all times. Checks should be made out to the Green Tree WomanÕs Civic Club for their Operation Shoebox fund-raiser providing support and supplies to members of our armed forces. Team rosters and checks are due by June 26 to Janine Palmer. Contact her at 412-922-2097 or at planitpgh@comcast.net. Times will be drawn and teams will be notified of their playing times.

Independence Day Celebration

Wilson Park Swimming Pool

There's no better way to celebrate this All-American holiday, than with your Green Tree friends and neighbors! Spend the day at the pool, in the pool, or near the pool for a variety of games, raffles, activities, prizes and fun with family and friends!

The 4th of July ceremonies begin with the raising of the flag by American Legion Post #823 at noon. A delicious poolside lunch is available for a nominal fee. Sign up for the raffles as soon as you arrive. Games, relays and competitions for both adults and children fill the rest of the Independence Day event... and there's always the pool. Be there!


NOTE: You do NOT need a pool pass on July 4th to attend this event. Wilson Park Pool will CLOSE at 5:00 p.m. on July 4th.

12:00-1:00 p.m. Lunch offered poolside for a nominal fee
12:15-3:00 p.m. DJ, music, games, raffles, moonwalk, face painting and fun!
