Swimming Lessons at Green Tree Pool

Two sessions of swimming lessons begin on June 20 or July 5. Classes are held Monday through Thursday mornings for two weeks (except for the week of July 5 because of the Independence Day holiday). All lessons are 30 minutes in length and are available for group or private lessons. Rates are listed below.

A limited number of swimming lessons will be offered in the evening at 6:30 and 7:00 p.m. Evening lessons will begin on the dates listed above for children who are unable to attend the morning sessions. Only private lessons are available in the evenings.

Register for swimming lessons at the Green Tree Municipal Center Office. After the pool opens you may register for swimming lessons at the pool.

Pool Rental

The pool may be rented for a period of two hours for private parties at a cost of $140.00 for 25 or less people; $180.00 for 26 or more guests. There is a $100.00 security deposit required that is payable at the time the reservation is made. Arrangements must be made with the Pool Manager.

Baby Pool Boot Camp

Mondays, Tuesday and Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. the pool will be open to parents and their children 6 years of age and younger. Special rules apply:

• Parents of children 0-2 years must remain with their children in the baby pool area at all times.
• Parents of children 3-6 years must remain at the pool facility. Lap swimming, walking and water aerobics (when in session) will be available.

GREEN TREE POOL RAIN POLICY

The pool follows the National Weather Service forecasts to determine whether to stay open or to close on rainy days. When the rain begins, the pool will remain open for two hours and the National Weather Service will be contacted for the latest weather information. If the forecast indicates that rain is expected to continue, the pool will close for the day. If the forecast calls for the weather to clear shortly, the pool will remain open.

The pool will be closed immediately if any thunder or lightning occurs. No one will be allowed back into the pool for 30 minutes. Each new rumble of thunder or flash to lightning starts the clock over again. The pool will be closed in the event of a severe thunderstorm or other weather emergency.
