Green Tree's Public Works Department works hard year-round to make certain that the physical comforts of the Borough's residents are met. In the spring they plant and prepare the Borough parks, the pool and other properties for summer use; in summer they maintain these areas, trim and mow the shrubs, trees and grass to keep them beautiful and functional during their peak season; in the fall they collect residents' leaves recycling them into compost at no cost; and in winter they decorate Greentree Road, the Municipal Center and Sodini Parklet extensively for the holiday season, make sure the roads are plowed and salted during ice and snowfalls, and collect residents' discarded Christmas trees for recycling in January.

All year long the Public Works Department responds to local emergencies that arise from clogged sewers, potholes, and other problems.
