Planning Development

The Planning Commission is responsible for the processing of applications for land development, simple subdivision, major and minor land developments, grading/excavating, floodplain, and storm water management.  The Commission coordinates meetings with the applicants and developers in order to assist with the approval process.  The Commission's main purpose is to facilitate and manage development in the Borough that meets the needs of individual property owners and the Borough as a whole, while using the Comprehensive Plan as a guide.  The Borough of Green Tree is in the process of updating its Comprehensive Plan so that it can be approved for 2023.

The 2023 PROPOSED Comprehensive Plan is being presented for Green Tree residents to review. This revised plan has not been approved yet and will be discussed at the November 15 Planning Commission meeting.

This proposed revised plan represents 2 1/2 years of dedicated work by the Planning Commission members. We welcome your comments and/or questions at our November 15 meeting. All comments presented at this meeting will be considered and incorporated in the revised plan prior to its submission to Borough Council.

Subdivision and/or Land Development applications must include the specified checklist and plans.  Applicants must submit nine (9) sets of review packets which include the application, checklist, report, plans and any other supporting documents to help streamline the review process.  Electronic files are required to be submitted with each application for each review. Applications can be found with the Building Inspection Permits.
