About Green Tree

ABOUT GREEN TREE

Green Tree is located approximately two miles southwest of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the rolling green hills of Allegheny County. From its upscale residential areas, to its thriving business and commercial districts, many hotels (Best Western, Hampton Inn, Quality Suites, Holiday Inn and Radisson Inn) and two of Pittsburgh's major office parks, Foster Plaza and Parkway Center, Green Tree is a great place to live, work and play!

Green Tree's seven-member Council, Mayor, Municipal Manager and a professional full-time staff are committed to directing, developing and maintaining Green Tree as one of Allegheny County's premier municipalities. An active Police Department involved in the community as well as a strong and committed Volunteer Fire Department work together to maintain Green Tree's high standard of living. Many civic, social and athletic organizations give freely of their time to build community pride.

Visit us virtually any time through these web pages, see the activities taking place and the people who make Green Tree fun and friendly. There are many local civic groups, organizations and sports teams to get involved with. Call or stop by. The Municipal Center Office is open Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:00. We welcome your comments and questions. Please feel free to contact us.

The next regularly scheduled Council meeting will be held on Monday, June 2, 2008 at 8:00 p.m.
